Hymoto spent the last 3 years researching, testing and developng a wind turbine range we are confident to offer for sale with the endorsement of our brand name
During this period we evaluated and tested many Chinese machines and our clear opinion is that there is not a Chinese product which can be considered to be an economic purchase. It is true that much of the Chinese product is cheap but we do not believe it economic considering the life expectancy of the product
Hymoto understand that it is very difficult for the new customer to evaluate different products - we have spent over £250,000 over the last 3 years to get this depth of product underdstanding.
We are not prepared to individually name the poor Chinese manufacturers but if you want a checklist of the things you should consider then please e mail stephen@hymoto.co.uk.
A Single Example
One example of something critical to the life of a turbine is blade balance. On our very first test turbine Hymoto balanced the blades to the gram. When we subsequently noticed vibration of the turbine we investigated and discovered extensive gel coat cracking on all blades - and a weight diference of 150grams between the heaviest and the lightest blade.
The explanation for this is that the resin used in blade manufacture is a world commodity price product so in order to reduce costs some manufacturers use a high % of fillers. Interestingly this makes little difference to the tensile strength but it does result in gel coat cracking - which in turn results in water ingress and blade inbalance.
A blade with an imbalance of 150grams will reduce the generator life to a matter of months
Manufactured in the UK Energever are very pleased to offer sale the Futurenergy Range of Intelligent Control Upwind Turbines Available in 5Kw, 10Kw and 20Kw models we believe that this range of turbines provides the best economic return of any turbine on the market today considering all factors such as power production, the whole life cost and the design life
