All of the structural calculations for this tower have been done by Manchester University and by a leading firm of UK structural engineers
The tower is supplied as standard in a galvanised finish but can be supplied powder coated in any colour to special order

The fail safe valves designed into the ram mean that even if a pipe were to be damaged during raising or lowering of the tower there would be no problem - the tower would simply remain in position and would not crash to the ground
The hydraulic lifting tower makes installation of the turbine much easier and lower cost than is possible if using a tower with guy wires. It also makes annual maintenance quick, easy and low cost.
The hydraulic lifting tower also looks much more aesthetic than a tower with guy wires.
In practice it is virtually impossible to install a 10 Kw turbine on a guyed tower without the use of a crane which makes installation and annual maintenance expensive. A further problem of guy wires is that they take up a large footprint of land which must be fenced off to prevent livestock from rubbing against them.
