A leading brand of invertors offered for sale on the UK market for use with wind turbines has been developed from an inverters designed for use with solar PV.
It is a fact that the characteristics of solar pv are fundamentally different from wind power.
Solar pv always produces a constant voltage although the current varies according to the intensity of the sunlight. However, with wind power the voltage constantly varies as the wind gusts.
It is therefore much easier and much less expensive to manufacture a solar pv inverter.
It is the considerable experience of Hymoto from extensive testing that modified solar pv invertors do not work well with wind power - they do not reflect the S shaped curve of the wind - and so they fail to maximise power production.
In addition most solar pv invertors cannot handle the rapidly fluctuating voltage of wind power. With wind the voltage can vary from 50 volts to 600 volts within as shot a time as 1.5 seconds - and it is important that the inverter can produce power throughout this voltage range.
Many solar PV invertors do not produce any power at low voltage - one leading brand only starts to produce power at 269 volts - meaning that a lot of potential power is wasted.
Manufactured in the UK Energever are very pleased to offer sale the Futurenergy Range of Intelligent Control Upwind Turbines Available in 5Kw, 10Kw and 20Kw models we believe that this range of turbines provides the best economic return of any turbine on the market today considering all factors such as power production, the whole life cost and the design life
