Hymoto made the decision to focus on wind turbines and develop a specialist knowledge of this product - which is exactly what we have done and Hymoto are now proud to offer the Energever turbines
Clearly a lot of the technology for wind turbine generation is common to hydro generation
In fact in many aspects hydro is easier because the maximum flow of water to the generator can be controlled
Hydro also offers the fastest possible payback because generation is 24 hours per day 7 days per week so even a relatively small generator will produce a significant amount of power
Hymoto were then fortunate to meet a contact from Sri Lanka with a massive amount of experience of the installation of small hydro schemes and with this support Hymoto are now supplying the equipment to a friend to install a 3 Kw hydro plant
This equipment has been supplied at a fraction of the price of the quotes from several established small hydro suppliers which suggests to Hymoto that - as for many other renewable energy products - some companies are making simply massive and unjustifiable margins on this product
So Hymoto would like to develop this important renewable energy source and just as for all Hymoto products we want to supply quality products with professional after sales support at a competitive price and with a realistic payback period
BUT THIS IS MORE DIFFICULT - because we need a supply of streams and rivers to install our produt ! - Easy for wind !
So we need to find a number of customers interested to work with us to install a water turbine in return for which we supply product at cost price - and you will be surprised at just how low cost price really is.
Hymoto need a portfolio of different different streams and rivers with different flow rates and different heads of water
For a water turbine head and flow are the 2 important considerations - even a very small flow with a large fall can produce a significant amount of power
Indeed Hymoto are now discussing an installation with a drop of 600 feet - only a small stream but this flows all year and we plan to install 3 x 200w generators which will together supply more than 14Kw per day.
