How Green Is Your MP ?
Hymoto went to see Nigel Evans Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley to see if he could offer help to Hymoto. We thought he would be really interested by the innovative work we are doing in small wind turbines and by the fact that Hymoto will be creating new jobs in 
the Ribble Valley.
We were shocked by his attitude
His opening statement was "that I am Chairman of the Country Gardeners Association and am totally opposed to on shore wind turbines in any form"
But Mr Nigel Evans did not have a reply to the question "how many jobs have the Country Gardeners Association created in the Ribble Valley ?"
Very sad that when we tried to further the discussion and understand the thinking of Nigel Evans we learnt that his opinion was based on ignorance of the economics of a wind turine correctly sited.
And how hypocritical when asked in a recent survey what he would do if he won a large amount of money Nigel Evans went on record as saying he would buy a £100,000 electric sports car. A classic case of a politician saying what he thought he should say ? ....guess he must have forgotten to add that he wants to charge his environmentally friendly electric sports car with power produced from from fossil fuel
Ask the question of your own MP because global warmng is a fact and rising energy prices are a real problem for many ordinary people - the world needs lower cost renewable energy and we need leader with the vision to understand and encourage this policy.
Nigel Evans he may be blue -he certainly isn't green
And this isn't a political statement because Hymoto are not afraid to point out the total incompetence of Gordon Brown - we have informed him in writing that some very poor quality product was accredited under the old scheme and has been installed in local schools. Three different accredited turbines from the same poor quality manufacturer lost a blade in our own trials due to inadequate control mechanisms combined with very poor quality blades - this is so dangerous and there is a very real risk of someone being killed - but of course the indecisive Gordon Brown has done ...precisely ......nothing.
