Planning permission is required in the UK for all wind turbines

The fact is that planning for wind turbines is a complete nonsence with massive inconsistency of approach between different planning authorities
Some planning authorities are just great to deal with and have a sensible approach consistent with govenment guidelines - the quickest application for planning for a Hymoto wind turbine was passed in 5 weeks
But other planning authorities have a negative and prejudice attitude often based on ignorance
For sure Hymoto understand that this is a new industry and we are keen to help and provide all the information which is required
Noise reports are available for the Hymoto wind turbine - but what is the use of a planning authority asking for a noise report if they have no idea what noise is acceptable?
There are so many ways of altering the noise of a wind turbine. For example a blade optimised for power production at 7 m/ s wind speed will have a different noise profile than a blade optimised for power production at 10 m/s .....if the planners tell us what noise they will and will not accept we can adapt the Hymoto wind turbine accordingly - but if they don't know what they want then what use is the data?
And on the subject of noise the Hymoto Intelligent Control Wind Turbine is amongst the quietest horizontal axis domestic small wind turbines on the market. It is much quieter than a tail fin turbine, a turbine with a gear box and a wind turbine which regulates power production by the mechanical action of spilling wind by the movement of the wind turbine blade - the way the HYmoto wind turbine works by yawing is much quieter
You are welcome to arrange to view our test UK wind turbine - in our opinion - and in the opinion of everyone who has visited with an interest and with a constructive view of wind turbines the Hymoto wind turbine is not noisy at all
So - if the planners refer to a recommended distance for a wind turbine from a property this is really a meaningless criteria because one type of turbine will be much noisier at twice the distance than another
And finally .....if someone tells you that the wind turbine will cause stress to sheep .....tell them to get a life .....sheep are not known for suffering stress .....
